this is how i have travelled through my illustrations. This imagined character Ahno, navigates imagined dreamscapes built from third party images with no restrictions. At its core, this process isn’t just about creating for myself. It’s about inviting others into that same experience.

In the same manner the idea is to transport the audience into spaces —to spark a connection and encourage reflection through the lens of a character who keeps moving, quietly observing the world.

THE ACT OF IMAGINING IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL THING, AS REAL AS THE WORLD IS WE SINCERLEY DOUBT IT GIVES ANYONE THE RIGHT TO OUTGROW THE ABILITY TO MENTALLY CREATE YOUR WORLD. AHNO, IS A DREAM CAPSULE, THIS CHARACTER’S SOLE PURPOSE IS GUIDE THE DREAMER BACK TO THE HABIT OF SHAPING A WORLD TO ITS OWN TUNE.IF FOR A FEW SECONDS YOU ARE IMAGINING A BLUE SKINNED, ORANGE HAIRED CHARACTER TAKING A SIP OF COFFEE OUTSIDE A CORNER STORE, YOU HAVE ARIIVED.

 

‘‘WE HAVE CREATED SOMETHING SIMPLY OUT OF OUR IMAGINATION, THE HOPE IS WHEN PEOPLE IDENTIFY WITH THIS DESIGN TOY THEY GIVE THEMSELVES THE LICENCE TO DAYDREAM A LITTLE BIT MORE THAN HAS BEEN PRESCRIBED.
